Dr Uma Ukpai -The Secrets of David Part 1

Inspiration

Today teaching by Dr Uma Ukpai

Our dreams of a good community and a vibrant church cannot be realised without you because we need heaven to empower you and meet your needs. Men and brethren, as a child of God, I see you now as a potential commander of wealth. I have nurtured a dream over the years to make believers know who they are and what heaven had deposited in them. God is looking for men and women He will so bless without breaking sweat.

In 1 Chronicles 28:4 the scriptures declares God likes you. You cannot be grateful to God unless you believe God likes you. Life has three enemies, number one is “regret”, and anything in life that makes you feel you are not what you should be is considered to be regret. I want you to hear me again and again; it is not what happened to you that matters but what happen in you because of what happened to you.

You don’t have to be a white man before you fulfil the purpose of your creation. The next enemy is “to worry”, worrying about tomorrows problems. Some people are afraid of cancer, afraid of premature death, afraid of witches that will fly in the night, afraid of things that have not even happened. They simply make their life unnecessarily miserable. Don’t worry about tomorrow because tomorrow will take care of itself.

The third enemy is to be “ungrateful for the blessings of today”. How many of you know that wherever you live is better than the best hospital in your community. Every one of us must learn how to be thankful and grateful to God. I don’t care what your problems are because it could have been worse.

David knew these secrets and it is the reason that he was made a great man. He was always grateful. At the time David wrote Psalm 132:1-5. King Saul was chasing after him with three thousand soldiers to kill him. David had the opportunity to destroy his enemy yet he preserved Saul. David went through all kinds of problems, how many of us are thankful for what God has done for us and for what God is doing for us? David said when his father did not find him qualified to be king, God remembered him. I don’t know how many of you that has come from a family where people looked down on you, talk down on you and they don’t believe you have a future. Beginning today, all those who looked down on you shall regret looking down on you. To be contd
