Marriage 207

A man and woman were created to complement one another’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and social needs and abilities in the special relationship we call marriage. They are not design to compete. Any marriage where there is competition will suffer stagnation, suspicion and plenty trouble.

Financial faithfulness qualifies you for financial fruitfulness. More money cannot be committed into your hands, except you are accountable for the one you have at present. Teach your family how to be faithful steward in money management.

Many people get into marriage without understanding that it is a covenant. The marriage covenant only comes into force, when you are legally joined together with your wife or husband in marriage. Just because it is a covenant, you are expected to keep and not break it.

Establish a family altar, where you and your family pray to God every morning. When you are always in touch with God, it becomes very difficult for the wicked one to touch you or any member of your family. God will also reveal to you the wisdom to bring down your family Goliath.

Whatever wants to break your relationship with your spouse wants to break your relationship with God and intends to destroy your destiny. Whether it is the works of the flesh or whatever, it is targeting your destiny: don’t allow it!

If you let God be first in your home and family, there will be peace and your home will become a place of excitement and laughter.

If you want your spouse to love you more, then become more loving. Eschew bitter quarrels by planting a smile and a hug to your loved ones. If it is your finances that need to be increased, follow God’s instructions, be a cheerful giver, pay your tithes and offerings, care for the needy and you are planting a financial future for yourself. This way, you find yourself at the top.

Finally, to fulfil God’s purpose for your marriage the first step is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. If you want to be born again you need to say this prayer:

“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today as a sinner. Forgive me of my Sins. I believe You died and rose on the third day for my sins. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”
