“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them Genesis 1:27. God created Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve. Therefore, don’t let the stupidity of man distort the Supremacy of God. Men and women are equal in God’s sight, but they have been given different duties and roles.
A relationship where there is no intention of cooperation between the soon to be husband and wife is dead on arrival. Therefore, to enjoy a lasting marriage, co-operation between the husband and wife is a major requirement. Wherever the man does not co-operate with the woman or the woman does not co-operate with the man, fulfilment remains a dream that will never be realized.
Maybe, you are married, but are contemplating running away from your home, because of the challenges before you now. Hold on a while and work at it. You can make your marriage to be a lasting one. Remember, God’s Word says that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Particularly, if you are a believer, and your husband or wife is yet to become one. Don’t run away, and don’t give in to pressure. You are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14), and light does not run away from darkness.
The Word of God says: Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord (Romans 12:11). The truth of the matter is, until your spirit-man is on fire for God, there is no way you can affect or be relevant to the members of your family.
Help your spouse stay out of temptation by saying something good and nice about him or her. Men and women who are not complimented do not feel appreciated. They feel taken for granted and ordinary. So, when someone outside showers them with the much sought for compliments, they are easily carried away. Appreciating little things creates greater things. Nothing should escape our appreciation or thanks; it motivates the beneficiary to go a step further.
Some men never see the need to say, “Thank you” to their wives. To them, their wives demand no commendation for performing their domestic duties. Likewise, some women who claimed to be Spirit filled, tongues speaking, demon chasing, will never commend their hardworking husbands. Thanksgiving should be reciprocal
Husband, handle your wife with care, by speaking kind words of appreciation to her often. She needs to hear you express it daily, how much you love and appreciate her. Wives, remember when you were sending prayer request to Men of God to grant you a caring and loving husband. Handle them with care.
Finally, to fulfil God’s purpose for your marriage the first step is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. If you want to be born again you need to say this prayer:
“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today as a sinner. Forgive me of my Sins. I believe You died and rose on the third day for my sins. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”
